About Lauren Olsen
Senior Consultant
Lauren Olsen is a seasoned behavioral health professional with over 20 years of experience in clinical supervision, operational leadership, quality improvement, and program development. She has served in both consulting and executive roles, including as the owner of Olsen Associates LLC and as interim Chief Operating Officer at LHL USA. Lauren has a proven track record of designing and implementing strategic initiatives to expand peer recovery services, streamline admissions and documentation workflows, and strengthen compliance with behavioral health screening protocols across multi-site systems.
While for New Jersey’s largest integrated healthcare system, Lauren led quality initiatives that aligned emergency department practices with New Jersey’s QIP-NJ metrics, resulting in significant performance-based funding gains for the health system. She also developed and implemented opioid education programs that trained over 30,000 clinicians systemwide, promoting best practices in opioid use disorder treatment. Lauren’s leadership has driven measurable improvements in patient identification, referral follow-through, and overall service delivery in the organizations she supports.
Her expertise spans behavioral health operations and analytics, intake process and conversion rate improvement, and electronic health record workflow redesign. She also excels in staff training and development, quality assurance and regulatory compliance, as well as the implementation of new clinical programs. Lauren has worked extensively with EHR systems such as EPIC, KIPU, Cerner, and Allscripts – leveraging technology to enhance clinical documentation and facilitate better communication among interdisciplinary teams. She is known for her collaborative leadership style and passion for developing evidence-based practices that improve patient outcomes.
Lauren holds a master’s degree in human services from Liberty University and is a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) in New Jersey. She is also a member of NAADAC (the Association for Addiction Professionals) and the American Association for Christian Counselors (AACC).
