ABOUT MICHAEL

Michael is a certified addiction counselor supervisor level as well as master level social worker. He has over 25 years of experience in the addiction field and serves as an international trainer and mentor for substance abuse counselors. He also has presented at numerous conferences on specialized topics such as sex addiction, trauma to healthy attachment, and spiritual growth.

He earned his BA degree from Boston College in Education and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Certified Addiction Counselor supervisor-level (CAC III), Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist, and Certified Spiritual Director. He has extensive training in the CAR trauma resolution model as well as EFT Emotionally Focused Therapy.

He wrote The Gift of Fulfillment, a self-help book designed to show people how to improve their lives using spiritual principles.

In the past few years Michael has held positions as clinical director, executive director and VP of Business Development for in-patient and outpatient addiction treatment centers. He has received various acknowledgements in the behavioral health field such as Colorado Addiction counselor of the year.

Michael resides in Denver with his wife Jill and their two children Cadin and Samantha. His gifting’s are truly connecting with others through his own transparency. He is able to identify the talents of those around him and bring teams together through servant leadership.
