ABOUT EMILY
Emily is a Master’s level Mental Health Clinician. She holds a license as a Professional Counselor and a certification in Addictions Counseling and Supervision. She has over 14 years’ experience in the Behavioral Health Field overall, serving in various roles and settings. She has provided counseling to adolescents, couples, families, and adults struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. She has also provided evaluation and case management services to healthcare professionals to ensure the licensing boards safety to practice in their licensed professions.
Emily has spent the past few years working within the Medicaid Managed Care system, providing guidance and education to Medicaid members and providers around behavioral health covered services, diagnoses, and codes. She participates on the Medicaid Coding Committee through the state of Colorado Department of Healthcare, Policy, and Financing and has an extensive knowledge base in Medicaid Behavioral Health Coding, Documentation, and Reimbursement. She provides consultation and training in these areas to individual, facility, and group providers in Mental Health, Substance Use, and Integrated Care settings.
One of Emily’s passions is providing substance use prevention trainings for medical health and behavioral health professionals. She is a statewide trainer for Colorado SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) and a National Trainer with Hazelton-Betty Ford. Emily resides in Littleton, Colorado with her six year old daughter, Lea and her puppy, Peggy-O. She moved from Westchester County, New York over 22 years ago and continues to fall in love every day with the beautiful Colorado mountains, sunshine, and people.
