About Anthony Campobasso, LCSW, CADC, CIP

Senior Consultant

With more than 25 years of experience in the mental health and addiction field, I bring a rare blend of clinical expertise, operational leadership, and hands‑on program development to behavioral health organizations across the country. My career began with a deep passion for helping individuals and families heal, leading me to earn my master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago and become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Illinois and Wisconsin. I later expanded my credentials as a Certified Interventionist and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Today, I own and manage a full‑service outpatient practice in Chicago, offering a wide range of mental health and addiction services. While I’ve held many roles throughout my career, I continue to identify most strongly as a clinician. Direct client work energizes me, and that clinical lens informs every consulting engagement I take on. Whats best for the patient is always best for business.

Over the years, I’ve supported numerous behavioral health organizations—from emerging start‑ups to established national providers—helping them move from conceptual ideas to fully operational, high‑performing programs. I understand what works in treatment and what doesn’t, and I use that insight to help leaders build programs that deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes. My consulting approach is rooted in a client‑centered philosophy, supported by cohesive, collaborative teams and a healthy organizational culture. I believe that culture is the lifeblood of any world‑class program, and I work closely with organizations to strengthen leadership, improve team dynamics, and align operations with clinical excellence.

My areas of expertise include program development, team building, implementation of best practices, strategic planning, and client‑experience measurement. In addition to my consulting work, I serve on the board of the Association of Intervention Specialists (AIS), where I advocate for raising the industry standard for formal interventions. I have facilitated hundreds of interventions across the U.S. and internationally, always tailoring the process to the unique needs of each family and ensuring it is guided by qualified, clinically trained professionals.

Outside of my professional work, I’m an avid outdoors enthusiast who enjoys rock climbing, kayaking, and integrating experiential learning models into therapeutic and team‑building environments.

Long story short—I’m here to help behavioral health organizations build programs that truly change lives.
